Dennis Becker

CEO

With more than a decade of experience building, financing, and acquiring enterprises redefining the way technology and business interact, Dennis Becker leads Mobivity’s vision of bringing businesses more customers, more often through disruptive technologies. An inventor of several patents, Becker’s background also includes awards as founder of Frontieric Corporation and CEO of Bexel Technologies. Prior to Mobivity, Dennis studied Computer Science at the University of Oregon and served in the USAF.

Mike Bynum

President, Board Member

Before Mobivity, Michael Bynum joined a small independent company purchased by TransWestern Publishing in 1985. Rising to the position of EVP of TransWestern Publishing Bynum, along with eight senior managers, acquired TransWestern Publishing for $32 million. In 2005, the TWP was sold to Yellow Book for $1.575 billion. Bynum brings over 30 years of experience in local marketing and advertising to the Mobivity team.

Alex Shah

Chief Technology Officer

Alex Shah was CTO for CommerceTel from 2010-2012. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of R&D at Blue Titan, a Draper Fisher funded venture, where he led the development of software tools to manage complex IT integration challenges. In 2004, he became Owner and Principle Architect of TeamSOA, a software architecture consulting for several financial industry related clients, including VISA Int’l Inc., and France Telecom. Shah holds eight patents for his inventions.

Tim Schatz

Chief Financial Officer

Since January 2010, Tim Schatz has been the Director of Finance, Vice President of Finance, and on February 1, 2012 he became the CFO for Mobivity. From 2008 to 2009, Schatz functioned as Corporate Accounting Manager for Locallife USA, a San Diego startup involved with local internet search engine technology and local small business marketing strategies. Until 2008, Schatz spent 13 years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, with the final 6 years as Regional Business Manager/Controller of the Inland Empire Los Angeles region, encompassing 40 locations and over 300 employees.

William Van Epps

Non-Executive Chairman, Governance Committee

William Van Epps has spent his entire career building and operating major franchise brands. He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Proctor and Gamble’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Agile Pursuits Franchising, Inc., from 2009 – 2011. Mr. Van Epps spent eight years as part of the senior management team at Papa John’s International Inc., ultimately serving as President from 2006 to 2009. Prior to joining Papa John’s, he served as President of the International Division of Yorkshire Global Restaurants, responsible for the international development of the Long John Silvers and A&W restaurant chains. From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Van Epps served as President of the International Division at AFC Enterprises where he developed international brand deployments for Popeye’s, Church’s Chicken, Cinnabon, Seattle Coffee Co., and Chesapeake Bakery Cafe. From 1974-1981, he was Senior Managing Director at Pepsico Foodservice International, where he was responsible for the expansion of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell into Asia, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

Becker’s background includes awards as founder of Frontieric Corporation and CEO of Bexel Technologies. Prior to Mobivity, Dennis studied Computer Science at the University of Oregon and served in the USAF.

David Jaques

Director, Audit Committee

Leading up to his appointment as Board Director Audit Committee Chair for Mobivity, David Jaques was the CFO for BlueRun Ventures. Under Jaques’ leadership assets for BlueRun Ventures increased from $150 million to $1 billion in just six years. Jaques was also the CFO of PayPal preceding his involvement with BlueRun Ventures, and brings years of priceless experience and consistent financial guidance to the Mobivity board.

John Harris

Director, Compensation Committee

John Harris holds past experience as President and CEO of eTelecare Global Solutions – a $300 million backed Business Process Outsourcing company, as well as President and CEO of Seven World Wide – a $400 million backed Marketing Services BPO company. He holds 25 years of experience at Electronic Data Systems in several senior executive positions. John graduated from the University of West Georgia with a BBA and MBA.

Doug Schneider

Board Member, Audit Committee

Doug Schneider has a twenty year record of leadership and success in building and scaling fast-paced businesses offering high-technology products and web based services to both consumers and businesses. Prior to serving on the board of Transaction Wireless, Schneider served as CEO where he played a key role in the company’s overall strategy. Before that Schneider was CEO of Genea Energy and President of SME Hosting for Verio, where he architected a highly profitable $125 million revenue premier global hosting company. Schneider has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Phil Guarascio

Board Member

Phil Guarascio was most recently non-executive Chairman of Arbitron which sold to Nielsen in December of 2013 for $1.3 billion. Guarascio was Lead Executive, Marketing and Sales at the National Football League from 2003-2007. For 16 years, Guarascio was with General Motors where he served as Vice President of Corporate Advertising and Marketing primarily responsible for worldwide advertising resource management, managing consolidated media placement and before that as General Manager of Marketing and Advertising for General Motors’ North American Operations.
